This easy meatloaf recipe I want to share today is so yummy and simple to make, just mix all the ingredients and throw it into the oven and concentrate on other things. When making this recipe make sure you don’t overwork the mixture, it is so important so you don’t have a dense meatloaf. I used pieces of sliced bread in this recipe, however, you can substitute a quarter cup of breadcrumbs if you like breadcrumbs.
You might want to try;
- 2 Pounds Ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Parmesan
- 2 Cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- ½ cup Milk
- 4 Slices Bread
- ¼ cup Chopped Parsley
- 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar optional
- 1 tsp Dried Mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder (each)
- Salt and Pepper
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
-
Place a small saucepan over a medium-high heat, saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil for about 5 or more minutes on a medium heat until soft and translucent, allow to cool down completely.
-
In a small bowl, put the slices of bread and pour the milk over them, leave until the bread soaks all the milk.
-
In a large bowl, combine the beef, the soaked bread, cooked onion and garlic mixture, parmesan, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix lightly until everything is well combined. Do not overmix.
-
Shape into a rectangular/ a loaf shape in a broiler pan or a baking sheet, place the meat mixture set aside.
-
In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the glaze. Pour half of it over the top of the beef mixture and spread and reserve the rest.
-
Bake the meatloaf for about 45-50 minutes or until it fully cooked, then spread the rest of the glaze on top and put it back in the oven to bake for another 15 minutes. Cook until the thermometer reads 160 degrees F or fully cooked in the middle.
-
When it's done, allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.
-
Enjoy!
