We all love to snack, with this potato chips recipe, simple but yet delicious would make you turn to Oliver twist, I want more, more and more...lol I made this for my kids and believe me they finished everything within the twinkle of an eye.
Ingredients
  • 4-6 Big Russet or Yukon gold potatoes
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
Instructions
  1. Soak, wash and clean the potatoes (if you like them unpeeled), if peeled slice up the potatoes using mandoline, if you're using a knife or a peeler make sure you the potatoes are thinly sliced.

  2. Pour the potatoes into a bowl of water and rinse until the water runs clear.
  3. Heat up oil up to 350-400 degrees F in a fryer or Dutch oven, while the oil is getting hot, line up the sliced potatoes in a baking sheet (put paper towels on the baking sheet), and let dry.
  4. Drop the potatoes into the hot oil and fry. Stir and make sure you put an eye on it because it fries quickly.

  5. Stir and remove them when they are golden and crisp. Sprinkle salt immediately, if you want a little spice, sprinkle a little bit of cayenne pepper.
  6. Enjoy.

  1. Yes homemade clip is the best, u will know the kind of oil u use in frying it, the market own may be oil dat they have used and reused. thank you

  2. I am not a huge potato chip fan except for when they are freshly made. They are so different when they do not come out of a metal lined bag. I also love the simplicity of the recipe.
