Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Half the seasoning, seasoning cube (if you're using it), and season turkey with it. Try and lift the skin up to get the season inside the turkey.
In a bowl, mix flour, salt, the remaining seasoning, onion powder, and chili pepper
Dredge the turkey in flour mixture.
Place a skillet over medium heat. Pour oil and heat, brown the turkey on all sides.
While the turkey is browning, mix barbecue sauce, minced garlic (if you're using) water, the remaining seasoning cube, onion, and coat the turkey with it.
In a baking pan, transfer the browned and coated turkey into it. Cover with foil and bake for 1.5 hours in the preheated oven.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 1 hour, basting occasionally by using the mixture from the baking pan. Continue to bake until tender or the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
Enjoy.
You can adjust the recipe to suit your taste. Also, I placed foil inside the baking pan before transferring the turkey. It will reduce the sticking and cleaning time.
