Baked Sweet Potato Fries is a simple and delicious recipe to make, it great as a snack or lunch, sweet potato fries are sweet as the name implies but if you want to enhance the sweetness you can serve it with a drizzle of maple syrup. Baked sweet potato fries are healthier and quick to make. You can make it sticky or crispy depending on your preference.
Don’t use olive oil (it would burn easily) in this recipe because of the smoking point of olive oil is low, you can use peanut oil, canola oil, vegetable oil etcetera.
- 2 Sweet Potatoes
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil (your choice but not olive oil)
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- Salt and Pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Peel sweet potatoes and peel. Slice the potatoes into fourth then slice not too thick or too thin. Be careful when cutting because it is not easy to cut as the other potato.

Add cornstarch and mix evenly.
Tip: Use a paper bag or a ziplock for the mixing process.

Pour the sliced sweet potatoes in the bag into a bowl or in the same bag mix the seasoning an mix thoroughly.

Add oil the to the potatoes and let it coat all thoroughly.

Line the baking sheet with a foil and spray with oil, place the potatoes on the baking sheet space the fries so they don't steam, you want them baked.

Bake for 20 minutes (put an eye on them so they don't burn. Flip and bake for about 10 more minutes, depending on how crispy you want them.
