Yay! Beef stir-fry for your delight! Before we go to the recipe route, let me ask, is it too late to wish y’all a happy new year? I hope not! Lol. Happy New Year to Y’all as they say it’s better late than never. I pray God Almighty answers all our prayers. How are you and your families doing? Especially at this time of the year, please stay safe, my thoughts are with y’all and pray that God grant everyone that lost their loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
Today’s recipe is simple, as in very simple! Beef stir fry, get your good beef, vegetables, sauces ready and 20 minutes later your beef stir-fry is ready. You can enjoy beef stir-fry with couscous as shows on here, rice, as is, pasta/noodles or just enjoy it as you desire.
You might want to try;
- 1 lb. Chuck steak top sirloin, flank steak, ribeye (your choice)
- 12 oz mixed vegetables (zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, bell peppers; your choice)
- 1 medium onion (sliced)
- 1-2 grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic (or more)
- 1/8 cup extra olive oil (your choice of any smoke point oil)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Sauce
- ¼ cup Bbq sauce (your choice or homemade)
- 2-3 Low sodium soy sauce
- 3-4 Tablespoons Brown sugar (you can substitute maple syrup)
- Sesame for garnish (optional)
-
Combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
-
Clean the beef and thinly slice. Season with salt and pepper; set aside. Slice onion, and peppers and set aside.
-
Heat oil in a pan/skillet/wok (you can use a few tablespoons of oil if you desire). Add the sliced beef on a single layer and cook/sear for 4-5 minutes (depending on the thickness and the type of beef you're cooking with) on both sides until it is almost cooked. Remove the beef and set it aside.
-
Clean the pan with paper towels, heat the remaining oil over medium heat, add the sliced onion, ginger, and garlic. Sauté for about one-minute stirring and you cook, add the sliced bell peppers (I used red and green) and cook for about one minute.
-
Add the remaining vegetables you're using and combine, cook until slightly soft.
-
Transfer the cooked beef, and some of the sauce (depending on how much sauce you want), combine, you can crank up the heat and stir fry until hot.
-
Adjust the seasonings as necessary.
-
Serve and enjoy with your favorite side dish.
-
Sprinkle sesame seeds (if desire), and enjoy.
