Easy honey shrimp is a very simple recipe to make especially if you’re in a time crunch. Shrimp is definitely what I must have in my freezer because it’s always handy for me any time I’m in a hurry or looking for something fast to make for the family.
I made this easy honey shrimp for plantain tostones which was a great addition for the plantains and we all loved it. Hope you will all try it out and leave your feedback. This shrimp could be also paired with other meals of your choice.
As the name implies, this easy honey shrimp ready under 30 minutes, looking for something fast this is for you. I also have so many meals that are very fast to make that I posted already feel free to search for more.
You might want to try;
- 1 Pound Raw/Cooked Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 Orange juice
- 1 Teaspoon Orange zest
- 2 Tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
- 1-2 Tablespoons Honey
- 2 Green onion (chopped)
- 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 Cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger (minced)
- 1 Tablespoon Olive oil (or your choice)
- ½ Teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper

In a bowl, whisk honey, orange juice, zest, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, red pepper flake (if you're using) and cornstarch. Set aside.

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a saucepan/pot over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook on both sides for about one minute, if you’re using cooked shrimp just warm it up or just add to the sauce. Remove and set aside.

Add the sauce mixture, green onion into the pan and bring to a boil and let it thickens or reduced.

Add the shrimp back into the pan and combine to coat.

Serve and enjoy!
