Fisherman’s Soup

Fisherman’s soup is a very versatile and flexible soup to prepare. Fisherman’s soup could be prepared with any of your seafood favorites just make sure you add the seafood that doesn’t cook fast first then the ones that cook very fast last.

Shrimp, mussels, clam, crabs, oysters, fish are all suitable and good for this recipe. To enjoy this soup make sure you don’t overcook the seafood if not it will be rubbery and you won’t enjoy it. I served this soup with homemade french bread but you can add potatoes, also okra is a great addition and super delicious.

If you’re adding okra, make sure it is added before adding the seafood, or better still cook your plain okra separate the add to the soup mixture.

Recipe Notes

Note: If you want to add okra to the soup add it before you add the seafood, the seafood comes last so you don't overcook it.
