Flatbread Recipe

Flatbread recipe is a basic bread recipe similar to naan bread. It is made with flour, salt, yogurt, herbs for some flavor and other basic baking ingredients. Flatbread is simple to make and if you try this flatbread you won’t want to buy from the store again.

For this flatbread, I used yogurt but you can use sour cream or full fat or plain yogurt. Flatbread should be soft and should be folded and not hard. So to avoid drying out keep it warm after each flatbread is cooked. You can add any topping of your choice.

I used white flour, however, you can use spelt flour, wheat flour.

  7. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, brush the rolled-out dough with the butter mixture and place the dough into the hot skillet (butter side down) and cook 1-2 minutes depending on how hot the skillet is. Don’t overcook the dough if not it will dry out and might break.
