The ground beef sauce is a delicious sauce to make it goes very well with pasta, it’s a perfect marriage made in heaven…lol but you can eat the sauce with any side you like, I like it with rice too. It’s a budget-friendly recipe, delicious and very easy to whip up. I have some other pasta dishes you might want to check out.
- 1 Pound Ground beef
- 1 Red bell pepper (chopped)
- 4 Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 Stick Celery (chopped)
- 1/2 Cup Tomato paste/sauce
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1 Habanero/Rodo (chopped)
- 2 Carrots (diced)
- 1 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Olive oil (or your choice)
- Knorr bouillon powder/cube
- Salt and pepper
-
Chop the onions, tomatoes, habanero, red bell pepper. Don't forget to remove the seed of the habanero and red bell pepper.
-
Dice the celery, peel the carrots and dice up.
-
Place a medium saucepan/pot over medium-high heat, add oil and soften the chopped celery and carrots. Remove from the pan and set aside.
-
In the same pan saute garlic, and chopped onions, add the Italian seasoning for a few minutes.
-
Add the tomato paste/sauce and stir. Continue to cook for a few minutes, Add the chopped tomatoes (I saw some green onion "wasting" away so I added it, you can skip the green onion) and mix to combine and cook for about 2 minutes.
-
Add the ground beef and combine thoroughly.
-
Add knorr, salt, and pepper. Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink.
-
Add the celery and carrots and combine. Readjust the seasoning if necessary.
-
Turn off the heat and let the sauce simmer.
-
Serve with pasta. Enjoy!
