Pico de gallo is made with fresh tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lime and season with salt and pepper. No cooking is involved. It is one of my favorites in Mexican food, all the ingredients are fresh and I just love it, you can eat as it is, or add to some tortilla chips to chow down, it goes well with Taco, Carne asada, Enchiladas and so on.
If you don’t like raw onion flavor just soak into warm water for about 10 minutes to reduce the onion flavor.
You might want to try;
Fruits Salsa with Cinnamon Chips
- 1 Pound Tomato (chopped)
- 2 Jalapeno/Serrano (halved, seeded, and chopped)
- 1 Lime juice
- 1 Small Red onion (chopped)
- ½ Cup Fresh cilantro (chopped)
- Salt to taste

Chop all the ingredients

Tip: To reduce the raw onion flavor soak in a cup of warm water for about 10 minutes

Add lime and mix everything ingredients and season with salt and combine.

Serve with tortilla chips or add to tacos.
