Rice Tuwo (Tuwo Shinkafa) is attributed to the northern part of Nigeria (well, we all eat it..lol) and it is a very basic rice food which is very popular I enjoyed eating Tuwo with Gbegiri Soup Recipe you can serve it with any of your favorites soup, it is one of my late dad’s favorites (Rest easy, dad!).
Rice tuwo (tuwo shinkafa) doesn’t require any stress just wash/rinse the rice, boil, and mash… That’s it! To make Tuwo you need starchy rice, so I used short-grain starchy rice. Make sure the rice is well cooked and mushy, which will help with the mashing process. I will link some soup recipes you might want to check them out.
