If you’re like me you’ll understand that this weather requires some spicy food…lol. To do just that, I’ve brought you this delicious spicy grilled chicken recipe. You don’t necessarily have to make yours as spicy as this, just adjust the spices to your preference. This spicy grilled chicken is full of flavor, and I bet you have all the ingredients at home. Use your favorite parts; chicken breast, thigh, even a whole chicken could be used, just adjust the cooking time and ingredients.
There are other chicken ingredients on the blog, feel free to search for more, try the recipe, and enjoy with your family. I’ll link some below.
You might want to try:
- 10 pieces drumsticks (clean and fat tried)
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil (or your choice)
- ¼ cup red pepper flakes (adjust to your preference)
- 1 Tablespoon Cayenne pepper paprika, garlic powder, onion powder (each)
- 2 Teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- Seasoning powder/cube (optional)
- Salt to taste
Clean the chicken pat dry, season with salt and drizzle oil over it, mix to coat all the chicken.
In a bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients don’t forget to adjust the spice to your preference.
Mix and pour over the chicken. Massage the chicken and make sure the chicken is well coated.
Marinate for at least 30 minutes up to overnight, I did overnight in the refrigerator.
Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and allow it to return to room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F or grill.
If you’re using an oven, place a wire rack over a baking sheet or use a cast iron skillet grill and cook on both sides to have the grill marks then cook in the oven for 20 minutes, flip, and cook for another 10 minutes.
If you’re using a grill coat the grill oil and place the chicken on it, cook for 30-35 minutes (depending size) flipping every 7-10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked or the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Allow to cool down, serve with your side and enjoy it
