Teriyaki ground turkey zucchini noodle is one of the ways I get one of my kids to eat more vegetables. Anytime I spiralize the vegetables they (she and her siblings) always ask for more, so this a great to eat more veggies. I spiralized the zucchini to make look it like pasta or noodle (which they all like).
I used [sc name=”Affiliate link” ]Gourmia GSS9210 Spiral Slicer Vegetable Spiralizer Includes 3 Interchangeable Slicing Blades Great for Veggie Spaghetti, Pasta, Salad, Potatoes & More Striking Red Finish, BPA free, I have had my fair share in the purchasing spiralizer not until I bought this one (picture below) and ever since I have no complaint and it works for me/us. I will share other recipes I used my spiralizer for later on. Let’s get started!
- 3 Zucchini (About 1.5 Pounds); spiralized
- 1 Carrot (peeled and grated)
- 1.5 Pounds Ground turkey
- 1/2 Cup Teriyaki sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Oil (your choice)
- 1 Onion (chopped/diced)
- 1 Tablespoon Minced garlic
- Salt and pepper
-
Spiralize the zucchini and set aside.
-
Peel and grate/spiralize the carrot. Set aside
-
Place a large skillet/saucepan over medium-high heat.
-
Add oil and saute the minced garlic and onion until translucent.
-
Add the ground turkey and break apart. Cook until it is no longer pink.
-
Add teriyaki sauce and mix.
-
Add the spiralized/grated carrot and combine. Drain any liquid you have in the pan.
-
Add the spiralized zucchini and combine, add salt and pepper.
-
Combine and turn off the heat. You don't want the heat because zucchini contains water and you don't want it all mushy and cook all the nutrients.
-
Serve and Enjoy!
