Turmeric Rice (Slow Cooker Recipe)

It’s Monday, Yay!!! Happy New Week to Y ‘all, hope you had a wonderful weekend?. Today recipe is turmeric rice, it is an Indian inspired spiced turmeric rice that’s perfect for any occasion or mealtime. It’s delicious and super tasty! Turmeric gives food yellowish color and it’s very beneficial to us, and these are some of the benefits I read about turmeric;

  • It is good for detoxifying the liver
  • It is good for a natural pain killer
  • It serves as an antioxidant
  • It is used in treating depression and also used as turmeric supplements

Some even use it as part of the ingredients for a facial mask. You can incorporate it in a cup of tea, soup etcetera.

I used a slow cooker to make this, I sometimes put my slow cooker to work when I have other things to do and also need to cook at the same time and want a very minimal distraction. You make this rice on a stove, and this rice can be prepared without using shrimps and vegetables. I just like the flavor shrimps add to the rice, therefore shrimp is optional.
