Today’s recipe is White pizza with squash I’m sure some people would be like what white pizza? White pizza is a pizza you prepare without “red sauce” like Homemade Pizza Sauce. If you miss the pizza recipe check Homemade Pizza Recipe
White pizza could be prepared with or without sauce, with the sauce you will need to prepare the white sauce to go with it. The dough recipe I used for this white pizza is the same with Homemade Pizza Dough but I added rosemary while I was making it. The recipe for the dough is on the blog, click Homemade Pizza Dough.
I also used two types of squash because I had excess from making Vegetable Breakfast Casserole but feel free to use just one type or any vegetable like broccoli, artichoke heart, eggplants or your choice.
Let’s get started!

Tortilla Pesto Pizza With Shrimp
Potato, Sausage And Cabbage Soup
- 1 Pizza Dough
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Rosemary
- 1-2 Tablespoon Cornmeal
- 2 Pounds Butternut squash and Acorn Squash (peeled, seeded and diced)
- 3 Tablespoons Olive oil (or your choice) divided
- 1/4 Teaspoon Red pepper flake (add as desired)
- 1 Clove Garlic (smashed)
- 1.5 Cups Mozzarella cheese (Shredded)
- Seasoning of your choice
- Salt and pepper
I used the same dough recipe I used in a homemade pizza recipe I posted a while ago with an exception.
While I was making the dough I added rosemary and that's it.
While the dough is resting, place a saucepan over medium heat, and heat half of the oil, add seasonings, garlic, and red pepper flakes and infuse the oil with the seasonings. Remove from the heat after 1-2 minutes and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F, and also line a baking pan with foil and set aside
Peel, remove the seeds, clean and dice up the vegetables.
I used Acorn squash and butternut squash
Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle about 1/2 Teaspoon of oil and toss. Pour onto the prepared baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F. Sprinkle cornmeal on the pizza pan/pizza stone and set aside.
Punch down the dough as you would when making pizza and place on a floured worktop and stretch (to the side of your pizza pan) out the dough with your hands or a rolling pin.
Place the dough on the prepared pizza pan, brush with the oil (made earlier) and top with the roasted squash and shredded cheese.
Bake for 15-17 minutes until the crust edge is golden brown.
Serve warm and enjoy!
