Herb Grilled Turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Boneless Turkey (Breast or dark meat)
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Basil
  • ½ Teaspoon Zest Lemon seasoning
  • ½ Teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ¼ Cup Oil (your choice)
  • 6-8 Skewers
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak the skewer with water to avoid burning if you’re using wooden skewers but skip this step if you’re using metal skewers.

  2. Clean the turkey, I used the dark meat, you can use the white part too; turkey breast. Because I have little kids, I cut the turkey into small bites for easy bites, but you can cut the turkey into strips if you desire.

  3. Mix all the seasoning add the turkey and marinade for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  4. Remove and bring to room temperature.

    Thread the turkey into the skewer and set aside.

  5. Heat the grill to high heat, I used an electric grill. Grease the grill with oil and place the threaded skewer and cook on both sides for about 2-3 minutes depending on the turkey. When you flip to cook the other side drizzle the marinade over the turkey and continue cooking.

  6. You can also use your oven for this process, just preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and place the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil.

  7. Serve with peanut butter sauce

  8. I sprinkled a pinch of red pepper flake for some heat and garnish with parsley. Enjoy!
