Fluffy Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • ¼ Cup Sugar (adjust to your preference)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/3 Cup Butter (melted or vegetable oil)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and grease an 8 inches pan and set aside.

  2. In a bowl, add all dry ingredients; flour, yellow cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt.
  3. In another bowl or cup, add all the wet ingredients; milk, melted butter/vegetable oil, egg.

  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients together.

  5. Pour the mixture into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 22-25 minutes or until golden brown.
