There is a bbq sauce recipe available on the blog if you want to use homemade bbq sauce. You can also use any of your store brands. Clean the chicken and a pair of sharp knife to cut into two. You can whole if that's what you prefer.
Season the cleaned chicken with garlic, onion powders, salt, and pepper, set aside. If you're making your own bbq sauce continue to make and when you're done and the sauce has cooled pour over the chicken. If you're using a store-bought add the bbq sauce to the chicken. Marinate for at least one hour or overnight. I usually do mine overnight.
If you marinate overnight make sure the chicken is at room temperature before you grill it. Heat the grill to medium. grease your grill to avoid sticky of the chicken to the grill, place the chicken and cook.
Basting the chicken with the remaining sauce and allow the chicken to cook through. It takes about 10 minutes on each side. The cooking will vary depending on how your hot your grill is and the thickness of your chicken.
Serve with your side and enjoy it.
