Use a cookie cutter or any object that can make a hole in the slice of bread.
Place a non-skillet/frying pan over medium-low heat.
Add about one tablespoon of butter to the pan and melt.
After the hole has been created in the center, place the bread in the pan
Crack one egg in the hole.
Season the egg with salt and pepper. Cook on both sides for about 2 minutes (each side) depending on how you want your egg cooked.
If you're using a big pan place the bread you cut out in the center and cook alongside the bread and egg. If not, gather all the bread pieces and cook when you're done.
