Suya (Nigerian spicy kebab)

Nigerian Suya Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Beef (chunks, sirloin, skirt beef)
  • Suya spice
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • Pinch of Red flake pepper (optional)
  • Slice Tomato for serving
  • Slice Onion for serving
  • Salt
  • Skewer

Instructions

  1. Soak the skewer in water to avoid burning
  2. Clean the meat and slice

  3. Thread the beef (make it dry) into the skewer

  4. In a bowl, mix the oil, red flake pepper, and salt

  5. Rub the oil mixture on the beef.
  6. Cover the "oiled" beef with the suya spice

  7. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside/refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  9. Place the skewed beef onto the oven rack and bake both side for 15 minutes.

  10. Then turns the oven to broil for 2 minutes.
  11. Remove and serve.
  12. Enjoy!
