Easy Honey Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Raw/Cooked Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 Orange juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Orange zest
  • 2 Tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Green onion (chopped)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 Cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger (minced)
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive oil (or your choice)
  • ½ Teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk honey, orange juice, zest, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, red pepper flake (if you're using) and cornstarch. Set aside.

  2. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a saucepan/pot over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook on both sides for about one minute, if you’re using cooked shrimp just warm it up or just add to the sauce. Remove and set aside.

  3. Add the sauce mixture, green onion into the pan and bring to a boil and let it thickens or reduced.

  4. Add the shrimp back into the pan and combine to coat.
