Not everytime we have time to cook up the storm, life might be busy and don’t have enough time to cook then this recipe comes in handy. Pasta with tomato beef sauce is a recipe you can quickly whip up. It is simple and yet delicious.
- 17.6 Ounces Pasta (500 grams)
- 2 Cans Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz/411 grams each)
- 1 Small Onion (sliced/diced)
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger (minced)
- 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil (divided)
- 1 Cup Meat
- 1 Seasoning Cube
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoon Cayenne/Dry pepper
- seasoning of your choice
- Onion Powder
- Salt
-
Clean meat and cut into cubes.
-
Add half of the seasoning cube, seasonings (I used about 1/2 tsp each of rosemary, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and cornstarch) mix and set aside.
-
To cook pasta:
-
Boil water, season with salt, pour pasta and cook according to the pack instruction and drain. Mine took 11 minutes.
-
Place a non-skillet over a medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil (or your choice)
Throw in the seasoned meat, spread out and cook on both sides for about 5 minutes, and set aside.
-
In the same skillet or pan, add the remaining oil and heat then add sliced onions, ginger, sprinkle salt and stir for a couple of seconds
-
Pour the diced tomatoes and cook for about 20-25 minutes.
-
Add cayenne or dry pepper, seasoning cube and continue to cook (if you still have some of the tomato acidity add a little sugar).
-
Throw in the beef, stir and readjust the seasoning.
-
Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
-
Serve and enjoy.
Note:
You can use any type of pasta of your choice if you want some spice, add more dry or cayenne pepper if you'd. You can scrap beef and use any protein of your choice.
