Chili lemon watermelon is the recipe I’m sharing today, I know some readers might be wondering, chili lemon watermelon? I know it sounds odd, or you think it doesn’t go together? Don’t knock it until you try it. Watermelon is in session and it is one of my favorite fruits to eat. Trying new things or ingredients with it is not a bad idea.
This recipe involves no cooking, just toss and dip, it is as simple as that. It’s refreshing and I hope you’d try and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed it. There are other refreshing drinks, fruit salad on the blog you might want to check them out.
You might want to try;
Fruits Salsa with Cinnamon Chips
- 4 cups cubed watermelon
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder (adjust to your preference)
- 1 pinch of salt and black pepper
- 1 lemon juiced and a teaspoon of zest
- Pinch of dried herbs of your choice
- For dipping sauce
- 1/8-1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 Teaspoon Honey (use more if you desire)
- Pinch of chili (optional)
- Splash of lemon and lemon zest

Mix the chili, herbs, and salt

Mix all the ingredients under the dipping sauce.

Place the cubed watermelon in a large bowl. Sprinkle with the pinch of salt and the chili powder then toss well. Squeeze on the lemon juice and top with the lemon zest.

Serve immediately! If you desire add the crumbled cotija cheese and cilantro.
