Homemade Banana Bread is one of my kid’s favorite bread, we all like it because it’s delicious. I had Blueberry Banana Bread on the blog which also delicious, you might want to check it out. To make banana bread is easy and the only thing I will say is that it takes a little longer to bake than other bread. It doesn’t involve special equipment or ingredients to make it. As the name implies, you will only need ripe bananas, flour, eggs and some spices.
Let get started.
- 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Sugar (adjust to your liking)
- 8 Tablespoons Unsalted butter ( @ room temperature)
- 4 Ripe Bananas
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- Oil for greasing
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a baking loaf pan with oil. Line the bottom of the loaf pan with a parchment paper or use flour to coat inside the pan.
-
Sift and mix all the dry ingredients; flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, ground cinnamon.
-
Cream or melt butter, crack eggs mix also add milk and whisk everything together.
-
Mash the banana and mix with the egg mixture.
-
Pour the mixture into the flour.
-
Combine and incorporate everything. Do not over mix.
-
Pour the mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to spread the top of the dough.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for one hour 10 minutes. The baking time will vary depending on the oven. When it's 60 minutes (1 hour) mark check by inserting a toothpick inside the bread, if it comes wet continue baking.
-
When the time is up, insert a toothpick again it should come out clean this time. If the toothpick comes out clean (that's what you want).
Remove and place on a wire rack and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
-
Slice and enjoy with any condiment of your choice.
Notes:
Make sure the bananas are very ripe. Also, adjust the sugar to your taste.
You can use only oil to grease the pan if want, if you don't have parchment paper. Just make sure you grease very well.
