On the menu today is baked tilapia, this is peppered fish, it is not spicy just the pepper to bake the fish and to give it more flavor, you could grill this fish as well. If you’re using a smaller fish or bigger size please adjust the seasonings accordingly. I love to fish and I could eat it all day every day if possible…lol. Check out other fish recipes I have on the blog, if you like this you’ll love other recipes too. If you love some heat, feel free to add more chili peppers according to your preference.
It could be enjoyed as a side dish with rice, couscous, quinoa, or by itself.
You might want to try:
- 2 Large Tilapia
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 1 habanero pepper/Rodo
- sliced Onion
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Cloves garlic
- 2 Teaspoon Lemon zest
- 2 Teaspoons chili flakes
- 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
- 2 Teaspoon Soy Sauce (optional)
- 1/2 bouillion cube (maggi)
- Salt for seasoning (adjust seasoning to your preference)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, blend habanero and red bell pepper.
Clean the fish, remove the intestines and wash the fish. Slash both sides of the fish (not too deep) and pat dry the fish.

Put a saucepan on the stove, melt butter in a saucepan, grated ginger, garlic(if you're using) into butter, add lemon zest, soy sauce(if you're using), chili flakes, blended pepper, and paprika in the melted butter in the pan.

Put the fish in a baking pan, pour the pepper (in the pan), and spread all over the fish and inside. Put the sliced onions inside.

Bake the fish in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. The cooking time of the fish depends on the size of the fish.
