Bacon-wrapped chicken is a delicious recipe to try out, it doesn’t take time to make and requires just little ingredients to make it. This bacon-wrapped chicken could be eaten as is or with any side dish of your choice. I served it with masked potatoes and broccoli.
I used turkey bacon and it is a little bit thick but feel free to use bacon; thin strips or thick. The thick strips take a little time but if you’re using the thin strips the baking time would be shorter. To allow the seasoning to get inside the chicken, I opened the chicken up, season it the close it back before wrapping with the bacon strips.

Turkey Breast and Apple Sandwiches
- 2 Chicken breast (boneless)
- 8 Turkey bacon strips (or bacon)
- 1/8 Cup Brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Smoked paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley (divided)
- Salt and pepper to taste
-
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
-
Combine all the ingredients except the turkey bacon and set aside half of the parsley for garnish.
-
Clean the chicken and pat dry, slice with a pair of a knife to look flatter and bigger. Rub half of the rub over the chicken then close and sprinkle some more.
-
Close the chicken to look like the way it was earlier. Take turkey bacon strips and wrap around the chicken I used four for each chicken. Wrap ((slightly overlap) and make sure the end of the turkey falls underneath; put the seam down. Continue with the second chicken and sprinkle the rest of the rub over the chicken.
-
Place the wrapped chickens in a skillet or oven proof pan or baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked. The baking time will vary depending on the thickness of your slices of bacon. Bast the chicken while baking once or twice with the dripping in the baking pan/skillet. Sprinkle with the parsley, allow to cool down before serving.
-
Serve and enjoy with your side dish.
