This spicy ramen noodle is a wonderful and simple recipe, it is spicy but not fiery hot and you can adjust the heat to your preference. Spicy ramen noodle is versatile and you can add your desired ingredients to it. You add vegetables, proteins of your choice, you can include sauce but I didn’t include sauce in this recipe.
I used suya spice just to have a different flavor which you can omit if you don’t to use it or if you don’t have it. The seasoning packets was discarded, when you’re cooking shrimp (if that’s what you’re using) make sure it is not overcook. Let’s get started!
You might want to try;
- 2 ramen packets (seasonings discarded)
- 10 pieces shrimp (cleaned: shell off, and deveined)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 Roma tomato and habanero pepper (each) rinse and diced
- 1 stalk of green onion (rinse and chopped)
- 1 tablespoon suya spice (optional)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablesppon olive oil (or preference)
- seasoning powder (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
-
Gather your ingredients and prep everything before you start cooking. If you're using frozen shrimps, thaw and pat dry.
-
Heat oil in pot/pan over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and cook for about 1 minute, make sure you stir. Add garlic, tomato, habanero, and green onion. Cook for about 1 minute.
-
Add shrimps, season with seasoning powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook until shrimps is slightly pink, then remove the shrimp on a plate and set aside.
-
Add 1.5 cups of water and allow to boil, ramen noodles (discard the seasonings), suya spice (if you're using it) cover and for for about 2 minutes.
-
Use a tong/spatula to separate the noodles and stir around making sure the liquid cover everything, cover then continue until the noodle is cooked and the liquid dries out. Add shrimps and cover, allow steam to fully cook the shrimps.
-
Serve and enjoy!
