Happy holidays and happy 2020 to everyone! After so much of chicken-eating on Christmas day, you need these sloppy joes and avocado grilled cheese to balance everything…lol. To take your grilled cheese to another level try these sloppy joes and avocado grilled cheese because it was prepared with the best sloppy joes you could ever make, I have the recipe on the blog and I’ll add the link below.
It was paired with honey-roasted carrots also, as you can tell with the name I added avocado slices but you don’t have to use it if you don’t like it. You can make as many sandwiches as possible hence why I didn’t add any measure for the recipe. I used Texas toast, make sure you use thick slices of bread to hold all the ingredients.
You might want to try;
Turkey Breast and Apple Sandwiches
Ground beef and Cabbage Stir fry
- Bread slices (any thick bread slices work)
- Sloppy joe (recipe on the blog)
- Softened butter
- Shredded Cheese (cheddar/swiss/mozzarella or your choice)
- Avocado slices
Heat a skillet/pan over medium-high heat. Spread softened butter over one side of the bread slice and place it in a hot skillet. Scoop sloppy joes just enough to cover the bread, add avocado slices and top with your favorite shredded cheese.
Butter another bread slice and top the one in the skillet; butter side up then use a spatula to press it down.
After the cheese has melted, flip and cook the other side until the bread is golden brown and cheese melts through. Slice if desired.
Serve with your favorite side. This was served with the honey-roasted carrot. Enjoy!
