Pineapple salsa is a fresh, sweet, and bright appetizer. It involves no cooking at all and very easy to gather or access the ingredients or probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry.
Pineapple salsa contains onions, cilantro, lime juice, red bell pepper, salt, and of course ripe pineapple. I used smoked red bell pepper (tatashe) this is not compulsory it is totally optional also, I used sweet onion but feel free to use red onion or choice.
It’s summertime and this is a good appetizer and super easy to make. Although, it is easy to make yet it is full of flavor and good for this weather. You can chop or dice all the ingredients as small as you desire.
You might want to try;
- 2.5-3 Cups Fresh Pineapple (chopped)
- 2/3 Cup Red bell pepper (Tatashe) (seeded and chopped)
- 1/4-1/3 Cup Sweet or red onion (chopped)
- 1-2 Tablespoons Lime juice
- 1/4 Cup Cilantro <chopped)
- 1 Jalapeno (seeded and chopped)
- salt to taste
-
Clean cilantro and chop, chop as small as you like.
-
Clean the remaining ingredients and chop as small as you like.
-
Add lime juice, and season with salt. I like to refrigerate it before serving but you can serve immediately.
-
Serve with chicken or whatever side you like. Enjoy!
