After a long day who wants to stay in the kitchen and spends hours cooking? If you’re looking for a quick recipe, this is a very easy and quick chicken skewers recipe that is satisfying, delicious, and don’t require too many ingredients or too much effort to make. I didn’t add any vegetables to the recipe but feel free to add vegetables of your choice.
Bell peppers, onions, and zucchini are some of the vegetable varieties that go well with this chicken skewer. I served the chicken skewer with yellow rice and sauteed broccoli with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce. I have an avocado sauce recipe that can go well with this recipe check here.

Turmeric Rice (Slow Cooker Recipe)
- 2 big chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt (or low/fat-free yogurt)
- 1 Teaspoon olive oil turmeric, and Italian seasoning (each)
- 1 Tablespoon crushed garlic, grated onion (each)
- Pinch of chicken bouillon (optional)
- Splash of lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (soaked) to avoid burning
- Splash of Oil for cooking
-
Clean chicken and cut into cubes, in a bowl, combine chicken and all the seasoning/spices and set aside for about 10 minutes.
-
Skewed the seasoned chicken depending on how big your pan is thread about 5-6 chicken cubes (depending on how long your skewer is, I cut off the end of my skewers so it will fit in the skillet) on each skewer.
-
Heat splash of oil in a skillet or pan place skewed chicken and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown or to your preference.
-
You might need to flip or turn the chicken around about 3-4 times when it starts cooking to ensure the chicken is cooked. If you’re new to cooking, you might leave some space in between the chicken on the skewer or just use a spatula or spoon to create space while cooking so you can see in between the threaded chickens.
-
Remove the cooked chicken, cook the rest of the chicken.
-
Served with your favorite side.
-
You can drizzle sauce over it and enjoy it with your side dish, I used sweet chili sauce.
